- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup Caesar salad dressing (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 slices of soft bread (ciabatta, sourdough, or whole grain)
- Optional: additional Caesar dressing for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to get that lovely golden crispiness going for your chicken.
- Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Place the chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake it for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
- Prepare your Caesar salad by combining the chopped romaine lettuce, grated Parmesan, and Caesar dressing in a large bowl, then gently toss.
- Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest before slicing it into strips.
- Layer crispy chicken strips onto the bread, then add a generous helping of Caesar salad. Drizzle more dressing on top if desired.
- Top with the other slice of bread, slice in half, and enjoy!
Notes
For a spicy twist, add sliced jalapeños or drizzle sriracha on the salad. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
