- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas until well combined.
- Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
- Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Gently mix in the flour until just incorporated.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan, smoothing the top gently.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Wrap banana bread in plastic wrap or aluminum foil and store at room temperature for up to four days. You can also freeze it for longer-lasting freshness.
