Description

These Chocolate French Silk Brownies feature fudgy brownie layers topped with silky chocolate ganache and a cloud of Cool Whip, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the cocoa powder, vanilla extract, flour, and salt until just combined.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it simmers, then remove from heat and add the chocolate chips, stirring until melted.
  8. Spread the melted chocolate mixture over the cooled brownies.
  9. Top the chocolate layer with Cool Whip.
  10. Refrigerate the brownies for at least 2 hours before serving.
