Description

A cozy and delightful cinnamon swirl banana bread that’s perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  3. Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  4. Stir in the sugar, the egg, and the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  5. Fold in the flour until just combined; a few lumps are perfectly fine!
  6. Mix together the ground cinnamon and brown sugar for the swirl.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  8. Top with the remaining batter and finish by sprinkling the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  9. Swirl the mixtures into the batter with a knife for beautiful designs!
  10. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  11. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For variations, consider adding nuts, chocolate chips, or berries for an extra twist!
