Description

A comforting and hearty casserole featuring layers of pierogies, kielbasa, and creamy cheese that will warm you up on chilly evenings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 packages Mrs. T’s cheddar pierogies
  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Spray the slow cooker with non-stick spray.
  2. Layer half of the pierogies in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Add half of the sliced kielbasa over the pierogies.
  4. In a bowl, combine cream cheese and 1 cup of chicken broth until smooth, then pour half over the kielbasa.
  5. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining pierogies, kielbasa, cream cheese mixture, and cheddar cheese, seasoning each layer with salt and pepper.
  7. Pour the remaining chicken broth over the top.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  9. Check for tenderness and serve hot.

Notes

You can assemble this dish a day in advance for easy meal prep. Leftovers are great for up to 4 days.
