A healthier twist on classic chicken parmesan, this air fryer version is crispy, delicious, and perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients

- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Coat each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to ensure the crumbs adhere well to the chicken.
- Spray both sides of the chicken with olive oil spray to achieve that lovely golden crispiness.
- Place the chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 10 minutes.
- Flip the chicken over, then top each breast with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the chicken is cooked through.
- Serve hot and enjoy your guilt-free crispy chicken parmesan!
Notes
For an extra crispy finish, try placing the chicken in the air fryer for a couple of minutes longer, but keep an eye on it to ensure it doesn’t dry out.
