Description

These delicious crispy salmon bites are coated in a flavorful crunch and served with a zesty bang bang sauce, perfect for any cozy gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh, skinless salmon fillets, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (for Bang Bang Sauce)
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce (for Bang Bang Sauce)
  • 1 tbsp sriracha (for Bang Bang Sauce, adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp honey (for Bang Bang Sauce)
  • 1 tbsp lime juice (for Bang Bang Sauce)

Instructions

  1. Start by cutting the salmon into 1-inch cubes, then pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Set up a breading station: one bowl for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for panko mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat each salmon cube in flour, dip into beaten eggs, and roll in the panko mixture. Set aside on a plate.
  4. In a heavy skillet, heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil over medium heat until it’s hot (around 350°F).
  5. Fry the salmon bites in batches for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Mix together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice in a small bowl to create the bang bang sauce.
  7. Drizzle the bang bang sauce over the fried salmon bites and serve immediately.

Notes

You can prepare the salmon bites in advance and freeze them before frying. To make it healthier, try baking them at 400°F for about 15 minutes.
