- 2 teaspoons of mustard seeds (optional)

Instructions
- Place the corned beef brisket in the bottom of the crock pot.
- Pour in the beef broth or water, ensuring the brisket is well covered.
- Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and mustard seeds if using.
- Arrange the potatoes and carrots around the brisket.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the meat is tender.
- Add the chopped cabbage in the last hour of cooking.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
