Description

Delightful Easter M&M cookies with colorful candy-coated chocolate gems tucked inside tender, buttery dough, perfect for spring gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Easter M&M candies (or regular M&Ms)
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts (like pecans or walnuts)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the wet ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Combine the dry ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  4. Combine wet and dry: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the M&Ms: Gently stir the colorful Easter M&Ms (and nuts if using) into the dough.
  6. Scoop and bake: Drop portions of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  7. Cool and enjoy: Remove cookies from oven and let them cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, refrigerate cookie dough for up to 3 days before baking. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
