Description

A cozy fall dessert that combines the beloved flavors of pecan pie in an easy-to-make dump cake.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1 can pecan pie filling
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the pecan pie filling evenly on the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the filling.
  4. Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  5. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top.
  6. Pour water over the entire mixture.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Can be made ahead by storing layers in the baking dish without water.
