Description

A delightful taco salad enhanced with crunchy Doritos, fresh veggies, and savory meat, making it a perfect weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 bag of Doritos
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 head of lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup corn (canned or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup salsa

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until it’s fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the taco seasoning and follow package directions to prepare your seasoned meat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the chopped lettuce, halved cherry tomatoes, shredded cheese, black beans, corn, and diced onions.
  4. Add the seasoned meat to the salad mixture, mixing thoroughly.
  5. Next, break the Doritos into pieces and sprinkle them over the salad.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the sour cream and salsa, then drizzle it over the salad just before serving.
  7. Serve immediately for the best crunch.
