Description

These Spinach Dip in Bite-Sized Pinwheels are a cozy treat, perfect for gatherings and sure to impress your guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag frozen chopped spinach (10 oz), thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 block cream cheese (8 oz), left out to soften
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but still cold
  • 1 egg (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Combine the softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the thawed spinach that you’ve squeezed dry and stir until everything is evenly combined.
  3. Dust your counter with flour and roll out your chilled puff pastry sheet.
  4. Spread the spinach mixture evenly across the pastry, leaving one long edge clear to seal later.
  5. Roll the pastry tightly like a jelly roll, ensuring the filling stays within.
  6. Wrap the rolled log in plastic wrap and place it in the fridge for 30 minutes to firm up. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 400°F.
  7. Remove the log from the fridge and slice it into half-inch rounds.
  8. Arrange the rounds on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Beat the egg with a splash of water and brush it over the tops of each pinwheel.
  10. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until they puff up and turn golden brown.

Notes

Make these ahead of time and store them in the freezer for any last-minute gatherings.
