A comforting family favorite, this creamy casserole combines chicken, rice, and a rich sauce for a cozy meal perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup rice (uncooked)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, sour cream, onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Stir in the cooked chicken and uncooked rice until well mixed.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and top with the shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30-40 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
  7. Cool for a few minutes before serving.
