Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the sugar and butter in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
- Add the flour, baking powder, and vanilla extract; stir until well combined, creating a soft, tender dough.
- Shape the dough into cookie shapes resembling koalas; use chocolate chips for their eyes.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and slightly crisp.
- Slice the jalapeños in half and remove the seeds.
- Mix the cream cheese and cheddar cheese until creamy.
- Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, then dip in breadcrumbs.
- Place the poppers on a baking sheet and bake for approximately 20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Serve the koala cookies and jalapeño poppers together on a themed plate.
Notes
Make the cookie dough ahead of time and chill it in the fridge. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week, and poppers in the fridge for 2-3 days.
