Description

A delightful twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich with crispy turkey bacon and creamy guacamole.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices of bread (your choice of whole grain, sourdough, or white)
  • 2 slices of cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 2 strips of cooked turkey bacon
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter (for grilling)

Instructions

  1. Mash the avocado and mix in lime juice, salt, and pepper to create guacamole.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer the cheese, bacon, and guacamole on the unbuttered side of one slice.
  4. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet.
  6. Grill until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  7. Cut in half and serve warm.

Notes

For the best flavor, make the guacamole right before assembling and use a serrated knife for slicing.
