Ingredients
Scale
- 2 racks of beef ribs
- 1 cup of your favorite BBQ rub
- ¼ cup yellow mustard
- 2 oz non-alcoholic substitute (like broth or juice)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2.5 tbsp favorite BBQ sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium heat.
- Rub the ribs with yellow mustard, ensuring they’re well-coated, then generously sprinkle with your favorite BBQ rub.
- Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on the grill for about 120-180 minutes.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat and mix in the non-alcoholic substitute, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, maple syrup, and hot sauce, stirring until blended.
- After 120-180 minutes, carefully unwrap the ribs and brush them with your warming sauce mixture.
- Grill the ribs uncovered for an additional 30 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with more sauce until they are caramelized and tender.
- Remove from the grill, let rest to enhance those juicy flavors, and serve hot with your favorite sides.
Notes
For make-ahead convenience, rub the ribs the night before and refrigerate. Let them come to room temperature before grilling.
