Description

Delightful no-bake Scotcheroos that perfectly balance creamy peanut butter, rich chocolate, and crunchy Rice Krispies.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar and corn syrup in a large saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and stir in peanut butter until smooth.
  2. Stir in Rice Krispies until fully coated with the mixture.
  3. Press half of the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Melt chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth.
  5. Pour the melted mixture over the layer in the baking dish.
  6. Crumble the remaining Rice Krispies mixture on top and gently press down.
  7. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 10 days. For chewier squares, refrigerate.
