Description

A quick and easy weeknight dinner featuring tender steak bites caramelized in teriyaki sauce with vibrant bell peppers and onions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a bowl. Marinate the steak pieces for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the marinated steak bites in a single layer. Cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. Once the steak is nicely browned, add in the sliced bell pepper and onion. Stir-fry for an additional 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve the steak bites hot, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

Feel free to swap out the bell pepper and onion for seasonal veggies like zucchini or snap peas.
