A cozy and comforting grilled cheese sandwich featuring creamy Brie, sweet figs, and tart apples, perfect for chilly evenings.

Ingredients

  • Bread (such as sourdough or whole grain)
  • Brie cheese
  • Fresh figs (sliced)
  • Apple (sliced, preferably a tart variety)
  • Butter
  • Optional: honey or balsamic glaze for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer slices of Brie cheese, followed by fig slices and apple slices on the non-buttered side of one slice.
  4. Drizzle honey or balsamic glaze, if using.
  5. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
  6. Place the sandwich in the skillet and grill until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side or until the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from the skillet, slice, and serve warm, preferably with a bowl of soup.
