Description

Warm and comforting cabbage dumplings filled with a savory meat or tofu mixture, perfect for family gatherings or cozy meals.

Ingredients

  • Cabbage leaves
  • Ground meat (beef, chicken, or tofu)
  • Onion, finely chopped
  • Garlic, minced
  • Soy sauce
  • Ginger, grated
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Optional: green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cabbage leaves: Blanch the cabbage leaves in boiling water for about 2 minutes until softened. Remove them from the water and let cool.
  2. Mix the filling: In a bowl, combine the ground meat (or tofu), finely chopped onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, grated ginger, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Fill the cabbage leaves: Take a cabbage leaf and place a spoonful of the filling in the center. Fold the sides over the filling and roll it up tightly.
  4. Repeat the process: Continue this until all the filling is used.
  5. Steam the dumplings: Place the dumplings in a steamer basket and steam them for about 15-20 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through.
  6. Serve and enjoy: Serve hot, garnished with green onions if desired.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with filling options like mushrooms or cheese for creative variations.
