- 1 package puff pastry
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares.
- Mix together softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
- Fold the corners of the square over the filling to create a pocket and press the edges to seal.
- Brush the tops of your pastries with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
Make-ahead by preparing the filling a day in advance. Chill the pastries for 15 minutes before baking for best results.
