- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and add minced garlic, cooking until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream and milk. Season with salt and pepper, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes, then sprinkle half of the cheddar, mozzarella, and Gruyère cheeses.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheeses.
- Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let it sit for a few minutes before serving, allowing the cheese to settle and the flavors to meld.
