  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and add minced garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  3. Stir in heavy cream and milk. Season with salt and pepper, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  4. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes, then sprinkle half of the cheddar, mozzarella, and Gruyère cheeses.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheeses.
  6. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  9. Let it sit for a few minutes before serving, allowing the cheese to settle and the flavors to meld.
