Description

A comforting side dish featuring creamy, cheesy potatoes with a hint of garlic, perfect for cozy meals.


Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the flour to form a roux, then gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the mixture thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan until melted and creamy.
  5. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish, pour half of the cheese sauce over them, and repeat with the remaining potatoes and sauce.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve warm.
