- 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups milk
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish to prevent sticking.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in the flour to form a roux, then gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan until melted and creamy.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish, pour half of the cheese sauce over them, and repeat with the remaining potatoes and sauce.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve warm.
