A hearty and creamy classic bolognese sauce that warms the heart and delights the palate, perfect for family dinners and meal prep.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil and parmesan cheese for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add onion, carrots, and celery, and sauté until softened, about 5–7 minutes.
- Stir in garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef and pork, cooking until browned and fully cooked, about 10 minutes.
- Pour in the vegetable broth, cooking until mostly evaporated.
- Add crushed tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for at least 30 minutes.
- Stir in milk and let it continue to simmer for an additional 30 minutes.
- Serve with your favorite pasta, garnished with fresh basil and parmesan cheese.
Notes
This sauce can be made a day in advance for deeper flavors. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
