Description

A deliciously easy side dish featuring savory turkey bacon, garlic, and a sweet-salty glaze coating tender green beans.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from skillet and set aside, leaving the grease behind.
  2. Add the butter to the skillet and let it melt.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
  5. Add the fresh green beans to the skillet and toss them gently in the sauce to coat.
  6. Cook the green beans for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.
  7. Stir in the crispy turkey bacon and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes
