Description
Soft, fluffy rolls that bring a comforting and nostalgic touch to any meal, perfect for slathering with butter.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 package (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole milk, warmed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup butter, softened (for brushing)
Instructions
- Combine the warm milk and sugar in a large bowl. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add the melted butter, eggs, salt, and flour; mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough into a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size, about 60 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Punch down the dough, divide it into 12 equal pieces, and shape each into a soft ball.
- Place them on a greased baking sheet and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown and irresistible.
- Brush the warm rolls with softened butter before serving for that extra dreamy touch.
