Description

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds stew meat
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Season the stew meat with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the beef on all sides.
  3. Transfer the beef to a slow cooker.
  4. Mix the onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, mushrooms, onion, and garlic in a bowl.
  5. Pour the mixture over the beef in the slow cooker.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours until the meat is tender.
  7. Serve with rice or mashed potatoes.
