- 2 pounds stew meat
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
Instructions
- Season the stew meat with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the beef on all sides.
- Transfer the beef to a slow cooker.
- Mix the onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, mushrooms, onion, and garlic in a bowl.
- Pour the mixture over the beef in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours until the meat is tender.
- Serve with rice or mashed potatoes.
