Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 28 oz canned tomatoes (diced or crushed)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt to taste

- Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent—about 3-4 minutes.
- Incorporate the Italian sausage, breaking it apart with a spatula. Sauté until browned—roughly 6-8 minutes.
- Stir in the canned tomatoes and sprinkle in Italian seasoning. Allow to simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss in the cooked spaghetti, mixing until coated in sauce. Use reserved pasta water if necessary.
- Serve hot, topped with parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
