Description

Delightful homemade rolls filled with creamy cheesecake and fresh strawberries. Perfect for brunch or dessert!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1 egg, for egg wash

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt until well combined.
  2. Combine the warmed milk, melted butter, and one egg in another bowl, stirring gently.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until fully combined.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface until it becomes smooth, then allow it to rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes.
  5. Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface to create a rectangle that is approximately 1/4-inch thick.
  6. Mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a separate bowl until smooth and fluffy. Spread this creamy mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  7. Combine the chopped strawberries and strawberry jam in a small bowl and spread this mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  8. Carefully roll the dough tightly from the long end, creating a log shape. Cut the log into even rolls about 1 inch thick.
  9. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, leaving some space between each one.
  10. Cover the rolls with a kitchen towel and let rise for another 30 minutes, while you preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  11. Brush the tops with the beaten egg and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  12. Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For added flavors, consider variations such as blueberries or a chocolate drizzle.
