Description

A quick and easy side dish featuring vibrant green beans sautéed in rich garlic butter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh green beans (trimmed)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Pinch of salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the fresh green beans into a large skillet. Cover them with water and let them cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, until they are vibrant green and just tender.
  2. Once cooked, carefully drain the green beans and set them aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the butter and let it melt over medium heat, stirring gently for about 3 minutes until the butter begins to foam and turn a light golden color.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, allowing the aroma to fill your kitchen.
  5. Finally, add the drained green beans back to the skillet, season with a pinch of salt and pepper, and toss until they are well coated in the garlic butter mixture.

Notes

For added flavor, try variations with lemon, almonds, bacon, or cheese. Leftover green beans can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
