Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until softened.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Layer the sliced potatoes evenly at the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  5. Top the potatoes with the beef mixture, spreading it evenly.
  6. Spread the creamy sour cream over the top, followed by shredded cheese.
  7. Cover the dish with foil, and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, until potatoes are tender and cheese is golden.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
