A flavorful and comforting homemade turkey deli meat with a Cajun twist, perfect for sandwiches and wraps.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless turkey breast
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup low-sodium chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Rinse the turkey breast under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.
  2. Mix olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper in a bowl to create a paste.
  3. Rub the spice mixture generously over the turkey breast.
  4. Let the turkey marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for best results.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Place the turkey in a baking dish and pour chicken broth around it. Cover with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  8. Allow the turkey to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
