- ⅓ cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 sheet puff pastry dough, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix together the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolk until smooth and creamy.
- Roll out the puff pastry dough on a floured surface and cut it into squares, about 3×3 inches.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each puff pastry square.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch to seal, creating little pockets of goodness.
- Brush the tops of the pastries with beaten egg for a shiny, golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
- Let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.

Make the cream cheese mixture a day in advance for easier preparation. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
