Description

Delightful individual cream cheese danishes that are quick, easy, and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 sheet puff pastry dough, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix together the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolk until smooth and creamy.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry dough on a floured surface and cut it into squares, about 3×3 inches.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each puff pastry square.
  5. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch to seal, creating little pockets of goodness.
  6. Brush the tops of the pastries with beaten egg for a shiny, golden finish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.

Notes

Make the cream cheese mixture a day in advance for easier preparation. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
