Description

Delightful and easy Lemon Crinkle Cookies coated in powdered sugar, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the granulated sugar and softened butter until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the fresh lemon juice and lemon zest.
  4. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl, then gradually incorporate into the wet mixture.
  5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  6. Roll the chilled dough into small balls and coat each in powdered sugar.
  7. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space for spreading.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden but centers remain tender.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, chill the dough and don’t overbake for a soft texture. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
