- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.
- Beat together the softened butter, sour cream, eggs, and vanilla extract until creamy.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just blended.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts and maple syrup.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Mix together additional flour, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon for the streusel topping. Sprinkle over the batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerate for up to a week. Can be made a day in advance.
