Instructions
- Prepare your ice cream maker by freezing the bowl according to the manufacturer’s instructions ahead of time.
- Blend the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and sea salt until the sugar has dissolved.
- Stir in the pure vanilla extract.
- Whisk the egg yolks in a separate bowl. Combine the cream mixture in a saucepan over low heat. Stir continuously while adding the yolks. Heat until slightly thickened, avoiding boiling.
- Pour the custard into a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Churn the cooled mixture in your ice cream maker for 20-25 minutes.
- Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
