- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish, letting that warm, buttery scent fill your kitchen.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually blend this mixture into the creamed mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread half of the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Drop spoonfuls of creamy peanut butter evenly over the dough and swirl with a knife.
- Spread the remaining dough over the top and lightly swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Allow the bars to cool before cutting them into squares.
Notes
These bars can be made ahead and taste great even after they’ve cooled. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for a week.
