Instructions
- Mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, instant yeast, and salt until well combined.
- Combine warm milk, melted butter, egg, red food coloring, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl, stirring until smooth.
- Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until a dough forms. It should be soft and slightly sticky.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes or until smooth. Place it in a greased bowl and let it rise in a warm area for about 60 minutes, or until doubled in size.
- Roll the dough out into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface. Spread the melted butter evenly over the surface.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon over the butter, creating a sweet layer.
- Starting from one end, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut into 12 equal-sized slices to form rolls.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, leaving some space between each roll. Allow them to rise again for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
- Allow the rolls to cool slightly, then generously top them with cream cheese frosting before serving.
