Description

Delicious scones infused with fresh apples and rich salted caramel, perfect for cozy autumn mornings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 large apple, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Cut in the cold, cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Fold in the diced apple gently.
  5. Mix together the heavy cream, caramel sauce, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Gradually add the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, folding until just combined.
  7. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently; shape it into a circle about 1-inch thick and cut it into wedges.
  8. Place the scones on the prepared baking sheet, sprinkle with flaky sea salt, and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Drizzle with additional caramel sauce just before serving.

Notes

For a spicier flavor, add cinnamon. You can also customize with nuts or dried fruits.
