- 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cup chopped vegetables (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers)
- 1 cup tzatziki sauce
Instructions
- Mix together the olive oil, lemon juice, dried oregano, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until combined.
- Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and coat them well with the marinade.
- Place the marinated chicken in your slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken into pieces using two forks.
- Warm the pita breads in a pan or microwave for a few seconds.
- Assemble your gyros by placing shredded chicken into the warm pita, topped with veggies and tzatziki sauce.
- Serve and enjoy!
