Description

Delight in these soft and chewy Snickerdoodle Cookies that bring warmth and nostalgia, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons sugar (for rolling)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. Combine the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually stir this dry mixture into the wet mixture until well combined.
  5. Mix together the 3 tablespoons of sugar and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon for rolling in a small bowl.
  6. Scoop out balls of cookie dough, rolling them in the cinnamon sugar mixture before placing them on a baking sheet, leaving enough space between each for spreading.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned but the centers are still soft.
  8. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy your soft and chewy Snickerdoodles!

Notes

For a twist, try adding vanilla extract or chocolate chips for variety!
